Circle Innovation is thrilled to officially launch the Healthtech SME Program, made possible by financial support from the Government of Canada through PacifiCan.

To assist British Columbia’s SMEs with commercialization challenges, Circle Innovation’s Healthtech SME (CIHS) Program provides fast product development assistance to SMEs ready to launch innovative products, de-risking R&D, product-market fit and financial risks while accelerating their speed to market and growth. Our projects also benefit from project funding to help your company develop products faster, scale up your business, and better understand customer needs.

The opportunity and the need for CIHS was shaped by Circle Innovation’s work back in 2019, when we partnered with PacifiCan on a three-year Innovation Sandbox initiative to facilitate the pace of research development, commercialization, and healthcare adoption across the province. Through the delivery of the Sandbox Program, Circle Innovation established a key call to action: engage stakeholders to meet and discuss the ways in which government can bend the cost curve through innovation. In the years that followed, Circle Innovation formed a stronger health technology innovation ecosystem that accelerated the pace of innovation, fast-tracked new products to market, and scaled the healthcare sector in the process.

In the coming months, Circle Innovation will engage with academia, industry, government, and Indigenous partners to discuss opportunities and challenges the healthcare industry might be facing right now. Circle will once again help SMEs connect problems with solutions to streamline innovation and fast-track the development and adoption of future healthtech solutions across the province.
