As a member of the Advisory Council of Research Ethics BC, Jim Mann, a member of the Board of Directors at Digital Health Circle, was recently invited to give a short presentation calling on researchers and research ethics boards to promote the meaningful participation of people living with dementia in health and social research. In his presentation Jim highlights the importance of including people with dementia in research and notes that people with dementia are “wanting and willing to be active participants in research”. At Digital Health Circle, we agree with Jim that when conducting research it is critically important to include all stakeholders. Check out his talk below, it is certainly worth a watch.
