Circle Innovation inaugurates its new Healthtech SME Program with $4.6 million in support from the Government of Canada.

Today, Circle Innovation was excited to officially launch the Healthtech SME Program with the support of the Government of Canada.

To support British Columbia’s SMEs with commercialization challenges, Circle Innovation’s Healthtech SME (CIHS) Program provides fast product development assistance to SMEs ready to launch innovative products, de-risking R&D, product-market fit and financial risks while accelerating their speed to market and growth. Our projects also benefit from project funding to help your company develop products faster, scale up your business, and better understand customer needs.

In the coming months, Circle Innovation will engage with academia, industry, government, and Indigenous partners to discuss opportunities and challenges the healthcare industry might be facing right now. Together with Simon Fraser University, Circle can help SMEs connect problems with solutions to streamline innovation and fast-track the development and adoption of healthtech solutions.

This new partnership between PacifiCan and Circle Innovation is expected to help BC SMEs generate approximately 85 jobs and help train more than 600 BC workers. The funding will also support the growth of 40 SMEs and generate $14 million in revenues throughout the province by 2025, which will be achieved by working with Simon Fraser University, and industry partners like PanGenomic Health PBC and myMomentum.
